The OV-1000, a compact 1 RU high multi-channel transrater, is located at the video head-end. It analyze video content for complexity, motion level, bit-rate requirements and generates meta-data providing the OV-100 indications to perform intelligent video-aware statmux decisions as well as re-format video content enabling statmuxing of encrypted streams.

The OV-100 Video Edge device statistically multiplexes thousands of video streams using a powerful, patent-pending statmux algorithm, optimizing bandwidth and quality under link bandwidth constraints. In addition, the OV-100 Video Edge device also operates in an encrypted environment and does not intervene in the encryption and decryption processes.
